When and where is the conference taking place?

The Uncharted Leadership Conference is taking place on November 18-21, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Jacksonville, Florida (225 E Coastline Drive, Jacksonville, FL). 

what is the cost of the event?

Depends on when you register!
Early Bird (May 1 - Aug. 31): $199
Regular (Sept. 1 - Nov. 17): $225
At-the-door (Nov. 18-21): $250

NOTE: Registration cost does not include hotel stay cost. We have rooms at the Hyatt Regency blocked off at a discounted rate of $131.10 (includes tax) per night until October 28, 2019.

Are there scholarships available?

The SEJ Clergywomen’s Conference is not financially equipped to provide scholarships. However, we do encourage you to reach out to your Conference or District for financial support, or to use your Continuing Education fund if you have one!

I’m a Seminary student. Can I come?

Absolutely! In fact, we see this Leadership Conference as a perfect opportunity for you to continue to discern your calling as you network with other clergywomen and hear their stories! The workshops and plenary sessions will give you fantastic insight as you begin vocational ministry in the uncharted and unpredictable.

PLUS, we’re offering a discounted registration rate of $150 for current seminary students! Simply mark “Seminary Student Registration” on the registration form. We are unable to discount the hotel rooms any further than they already are, but we encourage you to share a room with someone to split costs!

where do I go to get the discounted hotel rate?

Reserve your hotel here for the discount! Don’t wait too late - the discounted rate is only available until October 28, 2019 or until the blocked rooms run out!

Any Suggestions on getting from the airport to the hotel?

Feel free to use any service you are most comfortable and familiar with!

One option is a shuttle service called Super Shuttle that has given us a discount for being a group! You can reserve a shuttle online or with the app, using discount code: A9GUK. Note: making a reservation via phone will not give you a discount.

Super Shuttle Arrival Procedures:
- SuperShuttle Shared Ride: Upon arrival the passenger will need to collect her luggage, they will need to step outside baggage claim "B" past the double doors to the "pole #6" and check in with the GSR (Guest Service Representative).
- SuperShuttle Express: Guest will locate the operator at Baggage Claim A, in the Meet and Greet area. If unable to locate operator, guest may call 1 (904) 765-9999 for assistance.
—> IMPORTANT: please make sure everyone in your group is ready to go before approaching the SuperShuttle representative, if two or more are traveling together. Don't leave anyone behind.

Super Shuttle Departure Procedures:
The pickup location will be outside of the hotel front lobby. Let the bellman know of your SuperShuttle transportation arrangements.

Are continuing education units (CEUs) available?

Yes! Each participant will receive a certificate for 1.5 CEUs for attending the conference.

will there be childcare provided?

Yes! Childcare will be provided for children up to 5-years-old. Please note on your registration form if you will need childcare and the age(s) of your child(ren).

what can I expect from the conference?

Whatever you’re seeking! Need some resources for ministry? We have arranged for speakers and workshops on various topics to help you leave feeling more prepared. Need rest? We’ve intentionally carved in free time for rest, exercise, or exploring the city. Need sisterhood and fellowship? With this many clergywomen coming together with the same goal, you are bound to build relationships!

What is the cancellation policy?

You can receive a full refund if you contact us to cancel your registration by November 1st. Because of our contract with the hotel, we will not be able to issue any refunds after this date.
